We acknowledge that the land on which we gather is the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee and Huron-Wendat Peoples. Katarokwi/Kingston remains the home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island. We humbly and gratefully thank the Indigenous community for their stewardship of Mother Earth and their contributions to our culture. We offer our deepest respect and commitment to listening, learning and reconciliation as we move forward together.
The Conservatory is delighted to offer dance programs at The BOX Theatre, located in H'art Centre. H'art Centre shares many of our core beliefs about the importance of community, accessibility, inclusion, sustainability and collaboration in the arts, so we are thrilled to partner with them.
Dancers at The Conservatory enjoy the benefits of studio equipment that is carefully chosen to meet their safety and training needs: sprung dance flooring, fully adjustable barres, mirrors, professional sound and lighting, sound proofing curtains and risers that transform the space into a performance venue, and a piano for live accompaniment. Our studio space is fully accessible with washroom, waiting area and change facilities on-site.
The Conservatory is located in prime downtown Kingston, with a large parking lot, close to transit routes and safe walking distance from many area schools. We are conveniently in the midst of shops, restaurants, grocery stores and cafés for families to visit and/or run errands while students are in class.
Dancers at The Conservatory can access our secure private school entrance at 237 Wellington Street. Look for our sign in the window, marking The Conservatory. Please ring the doorbell to the left of the door (shown in the photo) and we will be happy to welcome you into our facilities!
