Ages 9 +
Offers dancers an introduction into ballroom dance in both the standard and Latin forms. Classes will focus on correct ballroom hold and posture, beginning partnering skills and techniques (leading and following), basic steps/movement and musicality. Fundamental (core) steps of the Waltz and Rumba are introduced as foundations to other ballroom (Tango, Foxtrot, Quickstep, Viennese Waltz) and Latin (Cha-Cha, Jive, Samba, Paso Doble) dances. Dancers will take turns as partners, and will learn short combinations of choreography to have fun and put our new dance skills into practice. Come have fun and dance with your friends!
